The fine print, made readable

Privacy Policy

Last updated September 8, 2026

This policy describes how NovaScope.io (“we”) handles information on the hosted service. It is written for visitors and customers — not as an operator runbook. It is not legal advice.

Who this covers

NovaScope.io is a hosted creator visibility scope workspace. You (the customer) are responsible for the client and creator data you enter. If you send reports to clients, your own privacy notice and contracts still apply.

Do we sell or share your information?

No. We do not sell your personal information, and we never will. Everything you and your team enter — account details, workspace settings, scope records, and API keys — is stored in our database and used only to operate NovaScope.io for you. We do not monetize it, and we do not hand it to third parties for their own marketing or advertising purposes.

We work with a small number of service providers to run the product — Stripe for billing and Flodesk for newsletter delivery — and share with each only what it needs to do that job.

We also run Facebook/Instagram advertising on an ongoing basis, and to measure whether that advertising works, we share a limited, cryptographically hashed set of event data with Meta — see Ad measurement below for exactly what that is. This is not a sale of your information, we receive no payment for it, and we don’t use it for anything beyond measuring our own ad performance. Some state privacy laws (like California’s) classify this kind of ad measurement as “sharing” even though nothing is sold; see Your privacy rights below for how to opt out, or use the cookie preferences described in Cookies below.

Outside of Stripe, Flodesk, and that limited Meta ad-measurement data, we do not sell or share your information anywhere, for any purpose.

Information we store

  • Account email and sign-in session after purchase or test-drive signup
  • Workspace settings, including branding you add for white-label exports
  • Scope records you create (creator name, platform, handle, scan results, AI visibility findings, and generated report text)
  • Billing status from Stripe so we can confirm an active license or subscription

How long we keep it

We keep your account and scope data for as long as your license or subscription is active, so past reports stay available to you. If you want your account and its data deleted, email help@novascope.io. We will delete it, except for billing records we are required to keep for tax and accounting purposes.

Cookies

We use Ketch as our cookie consent management platform. It scans the cookies below, shows a cookie banner where a law requires one, and lets you change your choices at any time on our Cookie Preferences page. Here is what each category sets:

Necessary. Required for the hosted app to work; there is no opt-out for these on NovaScope.io.

  • audit-session — your signed-in session (HttpOnly)
  • audit-license-ok — confirms an active license or subscription (HttpOnly)
  • audit-activate — short-lived state during account activation (HttpOnly)
  • ns-free-audit — links your browser back to your test-drive audit (HttpOnly)
  • ns_analytics_consent — records your Analytics cookie choice below (accept or decline), so we know whether it’s OK to set ns_vid on your next page view

Functional.

  • novascope_ref — remembers a referral code for 60 days so a discount can apply at checkout
  • Tawk.to, our live chat widget, sets its own cookies to remember your chat session

Analytics.

  • Google Analytics sets cookies (for example _ga) so we can see traffic and page views in aggregate
  • ns_vid — our own first-party id (HttpOnly, 1 year) that lets us count unique visitors to novascope.io in a server-side traffic log we control directly, never sent to a third party; set only after you accept this category, and never for known bots or AI crawlers even when you have

Advertising.

  • The Meta advertising pixel sets cookies (for example _fbp) in your browser — see Ad measurement below for what it sends and how to opt out

We do not use Tawk.to, Google Analytics, or the Meta pixel to sell your personal information, and we do not control the cookies these vendors set — each vendor’s own privacy practices govern them.

API providers

Scopes may query third-party services such as Google Gemini, SerpAPI, PageSpeed Insights, and optional SEO/NAP providers. On bring-your-own-keys (BYOK) plans, those calls use keys you put in Settings and send only what that scan needs (for example a public URL, search query, or page snippet). We do not ask you to email API secret codes.

Accessibility widget

We run accessiBe, a third-party accessibility interface, on every page — see the Accessibility section of our Terms of Service for what it does. It runs in your browser to adjust display settings and improve screen-reader and keyboard support. We do not send accessiBe any of your account, workspace, or scope data — it operates independently of your NovaScope.io workspace and our database. Any interface preferences you set in the widget are handled by accessiBe in your browser, not stored by us; see accessiBe’s own privacy practices for details on their product.

Test drive

The scope test drive requires an email. That scan is watermarked. We use the email to run and return the scope, not to sell a list.

Newsletter

The newsletter signup on our marketing pages collects your email address to send product updates, tips, and industry news, roughly once a week. We store that address in our database and share it with Flodesk, our email delivery provider, to send the newsletter. We do not sell or rent your email address. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any newsletter email.

Ad measurement

When you complete a purchase, start a test drive, or sign up for the newsletter, we send a cryptographically hashed version of your email address to Meta (Facebook) through its Conversions API, so we can measure whether our ads led to that action. Meta receives only the hashed email, the event type (for example “Purchase”), and — for purchases — the order amount. It does not receive scope content, creator data, or payment details. The Meta Pixel that runs in your browser (see Cookies above) sends Meta the same limited event information directly from your device.

Your privacy rights

You can ask what data we hold about your account, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and its data — email help@novascope.io for any of these. If a law that applies to you gives you additional rights over your data (for example California’s CCPA or the EU/UK’s GDPR), those rights apply too; contact us and we will honor them.

To opt out of the ad measurement described above: use our Cookie Preferences page, email help@novascope.io and we will stop sending your email to Meta for this purpose, or use your browser’s ad-blocking settings, a global privacy control, or Meta’s own ad preferences to limit tracking on your device. Opting out does not affect your ability to use NovaScope.io.

Children’s privacy

NovaScope.io is a business tool for agencies, local businesses, and in-house teams. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

If we materially change how we handle your data, we will update the date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, email active customers.
